Mamma Mia was a 1975 hit song by the pop group ABBA. Winners of The Eurovision Song Contest, the group comprised of Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus, Anni-Frid Lyngstad (Frida), Agnetha Fältskog.
Mamma Mia! is a stage musical from the book written by British playwright Catherine Johnson, based on the songs of ABBA. Timeless songs such as Dancing Queen, I Have a Dream and Take a Chance on Me, are interwoven into a story of love, laughter and friendship. On the eve of her wedding, a daughter's pursuit to find out the identity of her father brings three men from her mother's past back to the Greek island Shangri-la they last visited twenty years ago.

Mamma Mia, through the story-telling magic of the songs of ABBA, we encounter Donna, a forty-something single mum, who recollects far-flung memories of happy-go-lucky days and reckless nights while her daughter Sophie dreams of custom, romance and a large white wedding.

Mamma Mia carries audiences to a small mythical Greek island as we share two unforgettable days in the lives of our heroines surrounded by crystal blue seas and beneath a beating Grecian sun.
